BioMetals 2014 - Session topics relevant to metal based nanotechnology
Sunday, July 13, 2014 to Friday, July 18, 2014
BioMetals 2014 is an international conference devoted to exploring novel and interdisciplinary research in the broad area of metals in biology.
The conference is the 9th International BioMetals Symposium and is the biennial meeting of the International BioMetals Society. The focus of the conference is exploring the relationships between metals, the environment, and biological systems, including the roles of metals in both health and disease. Attendance is anticipated at between 150 – 200 scientists (at all career stages) and we expect about 50% of the group to be international. Target participants include chemists (biological, biophysical, inorganic, and organic), biochemists, microbiologists, molecular biologists, physiologists, geneticists, and medical doctors from universities, hospitals, institutes, industry, and government laboratories.
Further details, session topics, and invited speakers may be found on our website.
Many of our session topics are relevant to metal based nanotechnology and we hope that CEINT students and faculty will consider submitting abstracts. This is a great opportunity to attend an international conference without the travel costs.
