Why CEINT? From our REU students & interns:

CEINT Research Site: Hsu-Kim Lab, Duke University
CEINT gave me the opportunity to work in a graduate research lab at an American university. My previous experience at an undergraduate institution, and in a graduate lab abroad allowed me to take full advantage of the resources at Duke. I enjoyed working with Anh Pham, a post-doctoral researcher in the Hsu-Kim lab, and we recently published the results of our combined research. As a rising senior during my summer at Duke, one of the best parts of the program, for me, was working closely with graduate students and getting a feel for what grad school is like.
Career Impacts
As a chemist, working within a Civil and Environmental Engineering department really helped me to narrow my focus to environmentally relevant chemistry. I am now a first year graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry and Technology.
